Situated in South Wales Caeglas Care Home for the Elderly established in 1998 is local authority-run service which provides care for the elderly & operates 3 9 rooms to provide a clean & warm living space with great care from the staff

A commitment was made to champion the cause for an environmentally & sustainable solution for their business

Due to the size of the care home, the energy bills were quite large & the installation of a small-scale solar PV system to aid, benefit & reduce the owner ( RCT) care home’s rising energy costs while future-proofing electricity costs at today’s price by generating their own clean energy to feed directly into the care home reducing the reliance on the grid & thus reducing their outgoing energy costs which allows or reinvestment into the business for other necessary items.

The collaboration between the care home, RCT local authority and Modern Energy was a successful installation
